Therapeutic Holidays Centre (THC) is a pioneering charitable organisation in Crete , offering holidays combined with an extensive range of healing programs and activities for to people with various disabilities and social adjustment problems. For over 18 years THC has been hosting people, regardless of age, with learning difficulties, challenging behaviour, autism, mental sickness and social harassment problems, coming from Greece, Cyprus, United Kingdom, Finland, Holland and other European Countries.
Most of our overseas guests are joining us for 7-days or two weeks. However, you are welcome to stay at the Centre for as long as you may wish!For local people with special needs we offer: Day Care, Weekend Holiday Breaks, Short-term Residential Care, and Summer Holiday Sessions.Animal Care, Therapeutic Riding, Bread Baking, Ergotherapy (Occupational Therapy) and Swimming are just a few of the programs and activities our visitors are getting involved with. Riding and other animal and farm-life related programs are done in co-operation with the Equestrian Farm of Crete. The farm is located just besides THC (a minute's walking distance).
For 2008, we have booked rooms at a local English-run hotel which offers 3* accommodation. It has a swimming pool and all that you would expect. We have also added Ergotherapy and Trekking.
